The brush-like mat enables smooth punching with little resistance, and allows the fibers of the applique to mesh well with the base fabric.
The bristle length also provides the ideal hardness and density for punching.
The mat surface measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/2", and is designed to work with the Clover Needle Felting Tool.
